It’s award season… and why you should enter
We’re very excited to be finalists in a couple of awards ceremonies that will be taking place over the next few months here in Auckland.
Firstly, we are very proud to say that we have been named as finalists in the TUANZ innovation awards. The next step is to join the other finalists in presenting our nominations in front of the judges panel on 1st September. Then we find out how we’ve fared the following day at the awards event.
Secondly, we’ve also been named as finalists in the Microsoft NZ Awards in the “Online Services Partner of the Year” category. This nomination is based around our usage of Microsoft’s excellent Windows Azure Cloud platform – Azure has been pivotal in our ability to deliver reliable, scalable services anywhere in the world without huge capital investments so we feel like we should be awarding Microsoft, not the other way around! The finals for these awards are on the 18th August.
This is our first year in business so to have reached the finals for two separate awards is a great achievement for us. For those of you that are considering an awards entry we really encourage you to go ahead and nominate your product, your company, your service or yourselves (!) The nomination process for any award that’s worth winning is pretty tough and absolutely demands that you can convey why you should be considered among the best of the best. Also, and far more importantly, when you fill the nomination in you will find those little holes in your product or service that you might be glossing over on a daily basis. You may not be fortunate enough to win, this time, but you might end up with an improved product or service which is a prize in itself.
