The possibilities for using Mobile Tagging are endless. However, here are a few example concepts just to demonstrate what you could do with Mobile Tagging. If you have used Mobile Tagging in an innovative way please let us know and we may even showcase you on our Case Studies area!
Tags included on product displays allow customers to obtain more information on products as well as enabling comparisons between alternative products. Tags allow retailers to provide ever-changing recommendations based upon online reviews, sales figures or other metrics; for example, the top 10 wines of the month, or accessories that work with a specific product.
Special offers can be directed at Mobile Tag channels to reward early adopters or regular Snappers.
By using Tags on product boxes, posters and menus (even TV commercials), a customer can Snap a Tag and a Mobi page will allow them to order, for example, a pizza for delivery or pickup. The immediacy of ordering is key here – imagine a customer ordering a pizza by Snapping a poster advertisement while walking home from a night out. Customers can buy a product via their mobile and pick it up in-store or request delivery.
A Tag on packaging could allow a customer to enter their friends’ details via a Mobi page. The customer and all the friends they list would then be entered into a competition to win prizes or receive special offers. The company gains more visibility than just the single person Snapping a Tag and the friend recommendation concept has the possibility of going viral as long as sufficient prizes / offers are provided.
